The capital’s best free events from July 28th-August 3rd
Happy Monday {{ first name | Cheapskater }},
Welcome back to another week of fab free events! One of my absolute favourite places to see art in London has always been the Whitechapel Gallery, so it’s exciting to be running a competition with them (scroll down for more 👀).
We couldn’t keep sending out Cheapskate each week without our fantastic supporters, so we’re pleased to announce that we’re offering another 50% discount on Cheapskate club membership. For just £2.50/month (less than the price of your average flat white!) you’ll get automatic entry into all our competitions and be automatically entered into regular subscriber-only giveaways. Plus, you’ll get that warm, fuzzy feeling of helping a teeny tiny independent media brand to thrive in a pretty tough climate.
Have a great week,
Clementine x
P.S. Congrats to Cheapskate reader Ranjini N, who won an annual National Art Pass in last week’s email, and the four winners of our competition with Tate Modern (as featured on our Instagram).

🧑🎨 Competition time!
We’ve teamed up with the wonderful Whitechapel Gallery to give away a pair of tickets to the East London gallery’s critically acclaimed Hamad Butt retrospective, Apprehensions.
This show (rated five stars by The Guardian) is the first UK retrospective dedicated to the British-Pakistani artist - a visionary whose work fused science, art, identity & AIDS-era reflection.
To be in with a chance of winning these tickets, simply refer a friend to Cheapskate London by sending them this link (it contains your personalised referral code): {{rp_refer_url}}. Once they’ve signed up, you’ll be entered into the draw, & we’ll pick one lucky winner at random. Good luck! 🤞
