Forget Tinkerbell, the best cast of fairies is in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This eve, Gresham College will explore how Titania & friends have been adapted in music, from Mendelssohn to Elvis Costello.

No, not that showgirl. Streatham Free Film Festival continues at SW16 Bar & Kitchen with Pamela Anderson’s acclaimed performance in The Last Showgirl, a bittersweet exploration of ageing, motherhood & community.

🤤 Good for the gut
Inside Out, a totally free festival of all things gut health, comes to Paternoster Square this week. The centrepiece is a massive walk-through digestive system, & there’ll be tonnes of expert-led talks (& even cooking demos) about how what we eat can influence our physical & mental health. ✊ Workers unite!
The LSE Library is about to open a new exhibit about the history of trade unions (with a focus on Black & queer unionisation), to mark 200 years of unions being legal in the UK. Tonight, there’s an opening drinks reception.

Head to the Kiln Theatre this Tues for a celebration of creativity & wellbeing. Ashford Place is putting on a jam-packed afternoon of short films, live music & spoken word from artists who’ve struggled with mental health.

The Liberty Festival is a celebration of disabled creatives in London, & they’re kicking things off on Weds at the Clapham Grand, with dance, drag & what performer Midgitte Bardot refers to as ‘radical hoo-ha’.

The fab Totally Thames festival continues with Rekindling – a spectacular large-scale fire installation on & around Royal Victoria Dock, celebrating the historic importance of London’s Docklands to the city.

The Horniman Museum launches its Family Threads exhibit this weekend – a photography display spotlighting family histories of immigrants to London from all over the world, from the 1700s to the present day.

🐑 Sheep on the bridge!
Now for one of London’s weirdest traditions: the Sheep Drive. Special guests (including a celebrity!) will exercise their right to drive a flock of sheep across Southwark Bridge – a tradition that’s existed since the 1100s.
