Dear Cheapskater,

This weekend is a particularly brilliant one for amazing free events, from Books in the Park (a book festival at Beckenham Place Park) to the World Hat Walk (scroll down to find out what on earth that is!).

It’s also the London Marathon on Sunday and heading out to watch it is always a great free day out - the atmosphere is electric and supporting strangers from the sidelines can be surprisingly heartwarming. Let us know if you’re cheering any friends on and we’ll give them a shoutout in next week’s edition!
