The capital’s best free events from Oct 21st-27th

Dear {{ first name | Cheapskater }},

The other week, I went to the press opening of Looks Delicious!, a new, free exhibition at Japan House London. The show focuses on the Japanese phenomenon of shokuhin sanpuru (the realistic food replicas displayed outside restaurants across Japan) and it’s full of incredibly tasty looking fake food dishes. It’s a great exhibition which I highly recommend visiting, and was another reminder of just how lucky I am to live in this amazing city where there is so much going on for free!

This week, we’ve partnered up with our pals at the immersive murder mystery company Nobody’s Fool, who are running a Halloween-themed murder mystery event at The Arcanist’s Tavern in Hoxton next Monday evening. Cheapskate readers can access a generous discount on tickets using the code CS12.

Have a fab week,
Kate x

PS. Congrats to our reader Emily S, who won the pair of tickets in last week’s newsletter to see jazz legend Imelda May at the Southbank Centre, as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival. Scroll down for another fab, free-to-enter competition…
