Good morning Cheapskater,

This week, we’ve partnered with Guildhall School’s Making It Festival - an eclectic line-up of performances, installations and talks celebrating new, original work made by Guildhall’s vibrant student community. The three-week festival, which kicks off next month, will explore what it means to ā€œmake itā€ as an artist in the 21st century. See the full programme here.

This edition is slightly shorter than usual because we’re bringing you another bank holiday special this Thursday (on that note, thank you for all the wonderful feedback on our last one - it meant so much to us!).

If you’re looking for kid-specific things to do over the coming days, make sure you’ve signed up to Cheapskate Kids - our free newsletter which curates all the best free, family-friendly activities. We’re sending out an edition this Friday ahead of May half term next week (and it features a pretty amazing competition!). We’d love your support with growing our readership so please do send our sign-up page on to anyone who might find the newsletter useful.

Have a fantastic few days,
Kate and Georgia x

P.S. Congrats to competition winners Sofia N and Cheapskate club member Lucy P, who each won a pair of sauna tickets in last week’s email (we’re not jealous at all…). Scroll down for your chance to win tickets to the exclusive opening night of the Richmond Arts and Ideas Festival!
