šŸ‘€ Londonā€™s best no-spend events this week

The capitalā€™s best free events from Mar 3rd-9th

Dear Cheapskater,

Itā€™s a big old week. Weā€™ve got Pancake Day this Tuesday, International Womenā€™s Day on Saturday, plus Repair Week and Pie week. So something for everyone!

International Womenā€™s Day has been celebrated for over a century, striving to accelerate equal opportunities and establish gender parity. We're excited to share a selection of free events below that honour women's achievements.

Recently youā€™ve been telling us about the women who have inspired you at events youā€™ve been to, and wow did you deliver. From pioneers in science and politics to artists and activists, we loved reading your responses and wanted to share a snapshot with you:

šŸ’› Marie Curieā€”A true trailblazer in science, she was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize (twice!) & changed the world with her research on radioactivity. Thank you for this one, Chasidah!

šŸ’› Tirzah Garwoodā€”An unsung talent of British art, now finally getting her flowers at Dulwich Picture Gallery. Love this shoutout from Rachel E!

šŸ’› Moira Stuartā€”The first black female newsreader on British television & an icon in broadcasting. A brilliant pick from Kiptiatu N!

šŸ’› Rosalind Franklinā€”A scientist whose vital work on DNA went uncredited for yearsā€”finally getting the recognition she deserves. A brilliant pick from Zoe D!

šŸ’› Annie Lennoxā€”A voice like no other, a fierce advocate for womenā€™s rights & founder of The Circle - an organisation supporting women facing gender-based violence & economic inequality. Big love to Nancy S!

Have a brilliant week!

Sophia & Georgia

P.S. Very well done to Steph W for nabbing the Boundless Plus membership - enjoy the cultural escapades & fab sites! Scroll down to see whatā€™s in store for this weekā€™s competitions, including a prize celebrating the musical legacy of a truly spectacular woman, Tina Turner.
